How long a CPC stays valid
A CPC remains usable while it accurately represents the product and is backed by appropriate testing. There is no single federal “expires in 365 days” stamp on every CPC, but Amazon USA toy Direct Validation commonly expects reports within about 12 months, and any material, design, or supplier change triggers new evaluation.
What forces a new certificate
- Material or colorway changes
- New factory or major process change
- Updated mandatory standards
- Marketplace policy windows on report age (especially USA toys)
Operational tip
Track test dates per SKU and run a re-cert wave before Q4. Waiting for Account Health email is how inventory gets stranded in FBA.
Questions people ask
Does the CPC PDF show an expiry date?
It shows issue and test dates. Validity is about ongoing accuracy and marketplace/lab expectations, not a single universal printed expiry.
