Is an EU DoC the same as a U.S. CPC?
No. A Children’s Product Certificate is a CPSIA document for the United States. An EU Declaration of Conformity is the manufacturer’s statement under EU harmonisation law. Sellers who list in both markets usually need both.
Does this replace laboratory testing?
No. The Declaration references the standards and evidence you already have. ShadowOps formats the document; the manufacturer remains solely responsible for conformity.
Do I need an authorised representative?
Non-EU manufacturers placing products on the EU market typically appoint an EU authorised representative. Put that name and address on the Declaration.
