China factory papers vs a real U.S. CPC

A useful China factory package is a full CPSC-accepted test report for the exact SKU, BOM/colourway control, and tracking-label print data. A useful U.S. package is a CPC issued by the importer naming those reports. Factory-branded CPC templates that name the factory as certifier are the most common Amazon rejection pattern for USA listings.

Buyer checklist before you pay the deposit

  • Lab name and location are CPSC-accepted for each cited rule.
  • Report date, model, and photos match the goods on the PO.
  • Factory agrees not to change materials without retest.
  • You will issue the CPC — the factory will not “handle Amazon paperwork” with a fake certifier name.

When EU paperwork is also required

If the same factory ships to EU or UK Amazon, demand EN 71 reports and support for a Declaration of Conformity. Do not reuse the U.S. CPC as CE documentation.

Which China labs do US buyers trust?

Networks with CPSC-accepted locations — commonly SGS, Intertek, TÜV, BV, Eurofins, QIMA. Acceptance is per lab location and rule, not just brand name.

Can the factory email Amazon for me?
