GB 6675 explained: China’s toy safety standard

GB 6675 is China’s mandatory national toy safety standard series, enforced domestically on toys manufactured or sold in China: part 1 mechanical and physical safety, part 2 flammability, part 3 migration of elements, and part 4 certain electrical toys. For sellers manufacturing in China, domestic-market compliance is separate from export compliance — a GB 6675 report is not a CPSIA report, and vice versa.

Why exporters should still care

A factory citing GB 6675 testing has proven domestic-market compliance, not CPSIA compliance for US-bound goods. Read supplier documents with that lens: ask specifically for US-export test reports to the standards your CPC will cite, because GB reports neither substitute for F963-23 testing nor for the CPSC-accepted-laboratory requirement.

Does GB 6675 testing count for a US CPC?

No. Certification for the US requires testing to the US rules at a CPSC-accepted laboratory. GB reports are domestic-market documents.

Which parts of GB 6675 apply to my toy?

Part 1 applies to essentially all toys; parts 2–4 by product type (flammability, chemistry, electrical). Your factory or lab can map the applicable parts per SKU.
