How long does Amazon take to review a CPC?
What actually happens during review
Amazon checks that the certificate names the correct product and rules, that the laboratory is CPSC-accepted, and that the report is consistent with the listing. If any link in that chain is broken (a rule cited but not tested, a different factory, an expired report) the review stalls or the document is rejected, restarting the clock.
How to make the review fast
- Upload a CPC that exactly matches the test report: same product, same rules, same lab.
- Submit legible, unedited PDFs. Screenshots and photo scans of documents invite manual review.
- Keep the certificate and report in one place (the vault) so re-submissions take seconds.
- Respond to requests as soon as they appear: older requests get batch-reviewed with less urgency.
Questions people ask
My CPC has been “under review” for two weeks. What now?
Contact Selling Partner Support with the ASIN and the uploaded documents, and ask for the case to be escalated. Also verify the lab on the report is CPSC-accepted for those rules: that is the most common stall point.
Does uploading twice speed it up?
No: duplicate uploads can reset or complicate the review. Upload once, correctly, then follow up through support if needed.
Are some categories faster than others?
Reviews scale with risk and volume. Toy Q4 onboarding waves create backlogs: submitting in July or early August avoids the rush.
